Bali Squeezed Mocktail

Looking for the perfect refreshment after a long day without the buzz? Look no further, this mocktail is packed with vitamins, nutrients, and electrolytes to keep you focused and refueled. The blend of mint, lime, and coconut make a wonderful trio of flavors for your tastebuds. Not to mention, it’s topped off with some bubbles which satisfies that cocktail craving.

I named this the Bali Squeeze because when I visited Indonesia, every time we would have a massage (which was everyday because they were so cheap and amazing), afterwards they would serve you a large glass of ice cold coconut water straight from a freshly opened coconut with a squeeze of lime. It tasted so refreshing, clean, and healthy after a long massage and I still have dreams of it. I wanted to bring you my slice of heaven back here to your own kitchen. So next time you get back from an exercise, massage, or even just afternoon nap, go to your kitchen, make this mocktail, and day dream of your slice of heaven.

Makes 2 Mocktails

The Goods:

  • 2 limes juiced

  • 1/4 tsp spirulina superfood

  • 4-5 mint leaves

  • 1 (18oz) tall can of coconut water

  • 1 (12oz) can soda water

The Method:

  1. Into a mason jar or cocktail shaker, add lime juice, spirulina, and mint leaves. Gently with a muddler or wooden spoon, muddle the mint for 5-10 seconds, to release the oils from the leaves.

  2. Grab two rocks glasses and fill with ice to the top. Set aside.

  3. Add 2 cups ice cubes and a few big splashes of coconut water into shaker/jar, cover and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.

  4. Strain mocktail evenly with a metal strainer or cap into both glasses. Fill glasses with coconut water leaving about an inch at the top.

  5. Top with with soda water, garnish with a mint sprig, and enjoy immediately.
