Fall in San Diego tends to feel less like traditional fall and more like living in the Sahara desert. With temperatures soaring over 100 degrees, I am searching through the heat to find just a little bit of fall somewhere.  So naturally, I looked inside my smoothie! 

This smoothie has the perfect blend of summer and fall with warming spices, cooling coconut yogurt and the classic California avocado.  Want it cold? Freeze your steamed sweet potatoes ahead of time. 

Where ever you are during this time of year, I know this smoothie will hit the spot!

The Goods:

 

1 cup steamed sweet potato

1/4 cup coconut yogurt

1 small avocado

2 stalks celery

1/2 banana

1 scoop protein powder

1 tsp turmeric

dash of cinnamon

dash of powdered ginger

8-12 oz cashew milk

The Method:

 

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth for about 30 seconds depending on your blender.
