This one of those appetizers that should ideally be enjoyed with a crisp glass of chenin blanc.
Simple, easy and will guarantee that you'll impress a crowd.
- 2 small peaches, cored and sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
- 1/4 cup honey
- 6 large basil leaves chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 wheel of brie cheese
Preheat the oven to 375*
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients besides the brie. Mix well to insure that honey coats everything.
Place brie in the middle of a small oven proof sauce pan, Pour peach and nut mixture over the top and let fall down the sides to the bottom of the pan.
Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with crackers, a baguette, prosciutto... the works.
